AMBAVIA is artistic expression from a different perspective. AMBAVIA celebrates the creativity, inventiveness, and perseverance of the blind/visually impaired artist who creates despite the loss of sight.
AMBAVIA is art made by a visually impaired artist.
Resilience
the ability to return to a mindful and grounded center after being thrown off balance, characterized by a mind that is both stable and flexible, much like a tree that withstands high winds by bending rather than breaking.
My eyes don't work like they used to but I am not broken.
I had to find new ways to create. Now, up close and personal is how I get things done.
